Dear ATOMARS Community,
We are pleased to announce the listing of Bytom (BTM) on Atomars exchange. Bytom (BTM) deposits are effective starting from December 16, 2019, and the following trading pairs will be available: BTM/BTC and BTM/USDT.
BYTOM PROJECT SUMMARY
Bytom is a blockchain protocol that acts as an intermediary, connecting generalized blockchains and specialized blockchains. Previously, there was not a complete and effective blockchain protocol that sought to exchange diversified digital assets. Bytom was designed as a public blockchain that mainly targets the area of asset management in a bid to solve problems like:
• What sort of blockchain can carry digital assets
• How to establish a map between physical and digital assets and provide solutions to compliance problems.
• How the gap between the physical and digital worlds can be bridged to ensure effective flow of assets on-chain and off-chain.
Bytom aims to link the digital and physical worlds by building a decentralized network for the registration and exchange of digital and physical assets. It seeks to become the largest dedicated blockchain platform in the world, connecting several asset classes to the blockchain and boosting asset liquidity, security, and value.
Bytom promotes the exchange of “byte information” and “byte assets” that have value attributes, and creates new "byte assets" via contract and configuration. It acts as an intermediary in the form of an economic body that uses data to generate profit and empower the performance of digital assets. Later on, these digital assets will not only be used in daily life, but also as artificial intelligence, “digital food” for equipment in the Internet of Things, and as a means to drive the influence of the digital world.
The Bytom coin, denoted as BTM, is Bytom platform's native cryptocurrency. It is the licence that grants access to the Bytom blockchain. Every Bytom coin represents ownership of a segment of the Bytom blockchain, enabling holders of BTM participation in the management of the Bytom blockchain.
BYTOM (BTM) FEATURES
Application Layer
The application layer supports dApp development. It is used for asset management, dividend, trading, and asset registration through interaction smart contracts. The layer provides UTXO and Bitcoin data structure compatibility to deliver efficiency as well as anonymity. Several app formats are supported, including both web and mobile versions. This layer allows most end-users and developers to interact when using Bytom.
Contract Layer
The contract layer is home to Bytom’s account system and the virtual space where contract coding takes place. Two types of contracts determine asset issuance and management. These are genesis contracts and control contracts. Control contracts are used to issue and audit other smart contracts that are on the platform. They are also responsible for ensuring compliance with the standards that Bytom protocol may support. General contracts, on the other hand, help to manage asset trading between users of the same protocol. Before trading, the assets have to be initially verified by the genesis contract. The genesis contract also enables dividend distribution and acts as a validator.
Ledger (Data) Layer
The ledger layer implements the distribution technology layer and connects Bytom with the blockchain. It also provides support for the transfer and issuance of assets, as well as other related tasks.
